Role of Recombinant Activated FVII in Severe Post‐Partum Haemorrhage

In Pakistan, improvement of health care structure and evolution perinatal care, have led to momentous drop in pregnancy related deaths, however obstetrical haemorrhage maintains be the principal cause maternal motility. The aim this study was probe utilization activated, recombinant, Factor VII (rFVIIa) cases severe postpartum (PPH). This carried out at Unit 2 Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (Fatima Jinnah Medical University), Lahore, over a period 10 weeks, from 15/01/2023, 31/03/2023. Fifteen females with PPH who were treated rFVIIa included study. overall observed median mean blood loss 8639 mL 11835 respectively. management prior involved trans-arterial embolization five patients, while three them had hysterectomy. One patient one single dose, two doses, those patients four plus twenty doses rFVIIa. (± SD) dose 81.60 ± 16.25 µg/kg. Fourteen could survive, died due complication. that death uterine rupture, quantum case death, 6428–43 810 mL. may, therefore, lead us conclude that, irrespective fact whether would survive or otherwise, much dependents upon her general proceeding infusion, rather than haemorrhage.
